I was born in a small town in southern California, okay, actually
I was born in the back seat of a car on the highway on the way to the hospital
in that small town! I spent most of my life growing up in this beautiful state
of Colorado and dub myself a native. At
least I can claim my children Colorado natives.
My son Egan is a freshman at Oregon State University – go Beavs! My daughter is a junior in high school
looking at colleges along the east coast.
I have been with my wife, Gianna, for 28 years and counting. Pre and post kids I have always loved the
outdoors and hope to continue to be in and around nature for a long time to
come. I had a colleague who said to me
once that she was impressed I was still alive after hearing of yet another
weekend adventure. I might have taken
some risks in the great outdoors that others would have shied away from 😊.
I always wanted to be an astronaut or fighter pilot and was
accepted into the Air Force Academy, however, I declined. After that decision I took the long route to
a college degree as I was determined to not be straddled by educational debt. I
initially joined the Army National Guard to help pay for my college but during
a weekend bivouac I burnt my hand and I was quickly given an honorable
discharge. I eventually obtained a BS from Regis University in Denver, CO.
My first real job was with Storage Technology as a customer service engineer
specializing in robotic engineering. I
was able to travel around the world with that job and loved it. My last 23 years has been with a company
called Intrado, responsible for the delivery of 911 dialed calls via proprietary
software, hardware and network infrastructure within the United States. I was an executive within the company
responsible for the care and feeding of over 240 customers and $220M in annual
revenue operations. It was work worth doing and I will always be grateful for
the opportunity.
I have now ventured into my
own business ownership as a consultant to SMB in cost optimization on overhead
cost categories such as telecom services, waste disposal, merchant services, small package
shipping, SaaS and eight others. I want to
help find savings for these SMB in my community and with my background I feel
this is a great fit both for me and the companies I will help. I want to assist businesses in lowering the costs they are paying their vendors for these categories and Schooley Mitchell has a proven track record of saving on average 28%. When a customer finds savings thru me, I become their vendor watchdog for years to come and free up their time to do what they do best...focus on delivering their services!.
