Chris’
role as a business broker is born out of a lifetime of experience living and
working in family-owned businesses. He grew up in the heat seal lidding
business, picture the lid you peel off a half and half creamer. His family's
business was making billions of those lids for all kinds of products. Chris
spent seven years working in the restaurant industry as a sous chef for J.
Alexanders and as a general manager for Chipotle prior to returning to
manufacturing in 2010. From 2010 to 2021 his focus was on leading the
resurgence of advanced manufacturing as the President of Qualtek Manufacturing
in Colorado Springs. Bringing industrial manufacturing to the next generation
of designers, makers, & buyers. In parallel with business management, Chris
has invested in commercial real estate and managed properties associated with
their businesses. Chris has experienced the risks and rewards of real property
and how it relates to running a successful business.
Chris spearheaded Qualtek’s achieving Silver
then Gold Membership of the Colorado Environmental Leadership Program. Colorado
Companies to Watch in 2015, CoBiz Magazine Top Manufacturing company finalist
in 2016 and received the Best in Business award from the Colorado Springs
Business Journal in 2019. He looks forward to tapping into the recently
obtained Broker Associate real estate license in the State of Colorado. Chris
graduated from Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver with a
BSBA in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management.
With
over 2 decades of hands-on experience in small and medium sized businesses,
Chris helps people make sense of the market when the time comes to buy or sell.
When he distills the various roles and responsibilities he has had in his
career, the one constant thread linking them all together is his ability to
build relationships with people. Chris’ goal is to help people make confident
decisions in a complicated environment.
Chris grew up in Libertyville, Illinois north
of Chicago attending Carmel
High School in Mundelein, Il. Prior to coming to
Colorado to play soccer at
the University of Denver. He lives with his wife
Sara, and two daughters,
Porter, and Evelyn in Castle Rock Colorado. He serves
as an advisory
board member for Bluestar Recyclers, which he and his family
founded in
2009, a 501C3 focused on providing jobs for people with disabilities
through electronics recycling. He served on the Board of Directors for the
Colorado
Advanced Manufacturing Association, the Colorado Springs
Electric Resource
Planning Commission, and as the C.S Metro Director for
the Clean Tech Open. He
is a founding member of the Castle Rock Run
Club and enjoys ultra-distance
running, triathlons, and skiing.
