Growing up in a family business, started in Denver by my grandfather, I gained interest in employment law, employee benefits and general employee relations. My first HR career pursuit was as a technical recruiter for the first true RPO in Denver. After 7 years of recruiting, I had the opportunity to become an HR Generalist for a GE company based in Boulder, CO. During that time, I became ever more interested in organizational design and development, earning a certificate from Mountain States Employers Council. This landed me a position on Maui as Director of OD and Guest Experience for the the prestigious Kapalua Resort. After 3 years living the island life, I found myself back on the mainland as an HR Generalist at a cybersecurity company, this time in Broomfield, CO. I spent 10 years at Webroot Inc., the last 7 of those as the Global VP of Human Resources, overseeing all aspects of HR, Culture, Learning & Development until the company was sold in 2019. Following a 2-year hiatus, I took the leap to follow a career-long dream of entrepreneurship, and opened a Venture X Co-working franchise location in Denver's Five Points neighborhood in January of 2021.
