I went to my first IRL (Indy Car) race a couple of months ago.  I thought it would be just so so but I was pleasantly surprised with how facinating the whole experience is.  We had pit passes and got to take a tour of the whole opperation from the hospitality truck to the mechanics trucks which are basically a mobile garage with everything you would ever need to fix or make a car.  We also got to meet the drivers and see the cars prior to the race.  As I was looking around I couldn't help but think of the history of the sport and it made me think of arguably it's best driver, Mario Andretti.  I am especially facinated with Mario because of how he parlayed his racing success into a variety of businesses.  I really enjoy some of his quotes and I thought I would share some with you.  Enjoy.
